Four sizes of records
Four sizes of records: Top left is a red 16-inch record of “Shopping Days Til Christmas” jingles that radio stations used. The record played from the label out. Top right is a 10-inch Cheap Trick EP from the early 1980s. Bottom right is a 12-inch Robert Gordon LP from 1979. Bottom left is a 7-inch Mojo Nixon 45 from the late 1980s. The size ratio of the 16-inch to the 10-inch is nearly identical to the ratio of 12-inch to 7-inch: 16/10 to 12/7 is the same as 112/70 to 120/70 or 56/35 to 60/35. Read the rest of this entry »
