Tomorrow, being the first Saturday in May, the 135th Kentucky Derby will be run at Churchill Downs. It’s often referred to as the most exciting two minutes in sports.

Watching those beautiful horses run their hearts out always brings tears to my eyes, just from sheer joy at the gorgeousness. But last year, the tragic events on the track made me cry for real. Let’s hope and pray that there will be no sadness this year.
