The Eastern Ohio Art Guild/Art Center

The Art Center was established in 2005 to help the Eastern Ohio Art Guild fulfill its mission “… to support continuing art education in Eastern Ohio, to provide a venue for member artists to sell and display their works, to house classes and events to encourage community involvement in the arts.” The art center houses 30 plus area artist works on display and available for purchase. Art disciplines include a variety of mediums including pottery, oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastels, multi-media abstract pieces, jewelry and textiles. EOAG meetings are the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Art Center. Visitors and new members are always welcome to attend. The Art Center is open Tuesday – Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and during special events.


Salt Fork Arts & Crafts Festival

Celebrating 41 years of bringing the arts to the Cambridge City Park. The Salt Fork Arts & Crafts is an event that brings beauty and excitement to Southeastern Guernsey County Ohio. Featuring fine arts and crafts, heritage cultural activities and demonstrations, performing arts, showcase of Ohio homemade foods, Art Within, Student Art Show, Craft Classes and much more. August 7-9 – Fri. 3 p.m.-8 p.m., Sat. 11 a.m.-7 p.m., and Sun. 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Free admission and parking.

The mission of the Cambridge Concert Association is to enable Guernsey County and area residents to see, hear, and appreciate the arts through a variety of live performances. Four concerts are presented each season at the Scottish Rite Auditorium. Annual memberships are available. Tickets available at the door for $15.00.

Cambridge Singers

The Cambridge Singers, under the musical direction of Jim Whitehair and accompanied by Tom Apel, celebrate their 45th Anniversary with their 2009 season. Their annual Spring show, this year titled “Broadway Updated” will be presented May 12th 7:00 p.m. and 13th 3:00 p.m. “Christmas With The Cambridge Singers” will be presented December 15th and 16th 8:00 p.m. and 17th 3:00 p.m. All shows held at the beautiful Scottish Rite Auditorium in downtown Cambridge. The Cambridge (City) Band

Each summer the oldest continuously playing community band in the state of Ohio, originating in 1841, thrills it’s audiences with a free evening of music in The Cambridge Park. Most concerts are every other Thursday at 7:30 p.m. or on Holidays. Each year The Band has a theme with vocalists and various entertainment surprises that include audience participation. The Band marches in patriotic parades and performs an annual Holiday Concert after the Christmas Parade. The Band consists of musicians of all ages. Bye Bye Birdie

When rock star and teenage heartthrob Conrad Birdie gets drafted, the nation’s teenagers go haywire and Conrad’s songwriter faces unemployment. So Albert and his girlfriend organize a nationwide contest in which one lucky girl wins a farewell kiss from Conrad on ”The Ed Sullivan Show”. Kim McAfee turns out to be the lucky teenager and Conrad’s whole entourage moves into her quiet Midwestern home-much to the chagrin of her ever-irritable father and her jealous boyfriend. The result is chaos and a series of romantic complications. With great singing and dancing come with us to say Bye Bye to Conrad Birdie!


Gilligan’s Island – The Musical

America’s most beloved TV show is back and better than ever and now is a musical! This show features everyone’s favorite characters including Gilligan, The Skipper, Mary Ann, Ginger, The Professor, The Millionaire and his Wife. Written by the same man who created the hit series Gilligan’s Island and the creator of The Brady Bunch, Sherwood Schwartz. Gilligan’s Island The Musical features 20 original songs written by Paul McCartney’s lead guitarist, Lawrence Juber. Having played to sold out audiences across the county, Gilligan and friends crash land on the stage of the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center for one night only.


Greater Tuna

A two-man comic tour de force and the comedy that put Tuna Texas on the theatre menu. Experience the original comedy romp of Tuna Texas. All of the characters from Texas’s third smallest town will be here including Bertha Bumiller and her lovely chenille bathrobe, Petey Fist the protector of ducks civil rights and Yippy the Wonderdog. As the show opens, Judge Roscoe Buckner has been found dead wearing a Dale Evans swimsuit and radio owner Vera Carp is trying to ban Romeo and Juliet from the Tuna library. Come meet the zany inhabitants of Tuna Texas where the Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies.
