The family of @ohiocapitalblog spent two weeks out West, tent camping in South Dakota, Wyoming and North Dakota.
Here are some pics from our first stop, in the Badlands in South Dakota. We spent two nights in the national park campground there, including one evening of thunderstorms:

Here are some pics from our drive through Wyoming and our ultimate stop in the Grand Tetons. We spent two nights in a tent cabin at Coulter Bay. Kids loved it — bunk beds and a brief respite from setting up the tent:
